The Community Within
God gave Pastor King a vision to start a church in which the community existed within the church. First and foremost, we are a community of faith, established on our common confession of faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, whose leaders and members through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, mutually maintain connection, provide care, communicate in love, collaborate in ministry, honor our commitments to our church and one another, and hold each other accountable so we continue to grow individually and collectively.
The Surrounding Community
We are more than a group of members who stay within the walls of our church edifice; we are actively engaged in our surrounding community. Our Pastor and members serve on various boards and associations such as the South Holland Ministerial Association, South Holland Police, Fire and Emergency Services departments, and Village Trustee Board and Commissions. We partner with Thornton Township and serve disadvantaged populations. We are a site for community-based recovery groups and the court system’s community service program.
The Community Extended
We humbly recognize the needs across the globe and support the work of missions both domestically and globally. Our commitment to community extends beyond our doors by supporting the building and dedication of an orphanage in Haiti, missionary trips across the globe in prayer and finances, and local men’s and women's shelters, nursing homes, and crisis centers in various ways.
