Dr. Jeanne Porter King is called to lead and to make a difference in the lives of others.  She serves at Christ Community Church, along with her husband, Dr. Carl E. King, Sr., where she heads the leadership and ministry development processes of our church, leads our Women’s Ministry Leadership Team, and shares preaching responsibility. “Dr. J,” as she is affectionately called by the congregation, has a heart for God and for the people of God and is an inspiring speaker and gifted teacher. Her messages have been called transformative, helping listeners unlock issues of identity, purpose, and destiny.

Dr. J is a gifted teacher, and in addition to teaching at Christ Community, she is a popular conference and retreat speaker and serves as an affiliate professor in the Certificate for Executive Leadership Program at McCormick Theological Seminary where she teaches the Foundations for Leadership course. Dr. J serves on the Board for CBE International-a Christian Women’s Advocacy organization.
Dr. J also ministers in the marketplace as the founder and principal consultant of the TransPorter Group Inc., whose purpose is to help create purposeful, transformative and empowering workplaces. Dr. J is a seasoned organizational development consultant and leadership coach with over 30 years of consulting and training experience in a variety of industries as well as with community groups, governmental agencies, churches and other faith-based institutions. Through TransPorter she has been blessed to travel across the world training seasoned and aspiring leaders. Dr. Jeanne Porter King is the author of numerous books and articles on leadership and is committed to developing and coaching leaders for the kingdom.

Dr. Jeanne Porter King received both Bachelor and Master of Science degrees from The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, the Master of Arts of Theological Studies (with an emphasis on spiritual formation and leadership) from McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago and the Doctor of Philosophy in Organizational Communication from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio.
